Small Flange Metric Rivet Application Notes:
- The grip range of these rivet nuts can be affected by the type of sheet material being used. It is recommended that a few test installations be conducted to determine the appropriate grip range for your specific application.
- Installation of the small flange European style rivnut is accomplished via use of hand tools that can be pneumatic, hydraulic, or manual. The installation process is simple, easily controlled, and less labor intensive that other processes associated with nuts and bolts. When properly inserted, the nut will be near flush with the surrounding parent material.
- The closed-end version of these riv nuts will effectively seal the back end of the nut and provide a barrier against external contaminates.
The small flange rivnut has many practical applications and is a common choice when a near-flush insertion is desirable.
